William Alvis King

William Alvis King, age 73, of Plano, Texas, passed away at Medical City McKinney on June 21, 2025. William King was born on July 21, 1951 in Lubbock, Texas to George L. and Alene Graves King.

In 1979, he met Linney Beck in Fannin, Texas and spent the next 44 ½ years in marriage before his passing. Bill loved spending time with family, reading, music, and singing in the choir. He was a nurse for over 25 years and enjoyed every bit of it.

Bill is survived by his wife, Linney for almost 45 years, son George and wife Lela, 3 grandchildren, Will, Emma, and Gage, sister Diane, brother John, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alene King and brother David.

A visitation will be held at Cornerstone Church in Lucas, Texas (2242 W. Lucas Rd. Lucas, TX 75002)at 10:00am, Saturday, July 19th, 2025. A celebration service will follow at 11:00am.
