Tommie Elliott was born on August 27, 1944 in Stamford, TX to Margarete and Jefferson Randall Elliott. Tommie was a veteran of Vietnam where he was exposed to Agent Orange which later caused dementia and diabetes. He was a Senior Corporal in the Dallas Police Department for 24 years, the father of two daughters and devoted soulmate to his wife of 45 years. He is also survived by his brother Randy and his sisters Ruth and Gwyn, nieces, nephews, and a host of others who called him “Pa” and loved him dearly.
There wasn't an episode of the Andy “Griffin” Show he couldn't quote by heart or a piece of meat he couldn't burn to a crisp. If Pa was awake, he was fixing something, usually his 1963 Ford Ranchero pickup, Junior. Junior was held together by duct tape, baling wire, and cuss words for most of its one million road miles.
Tommie will be remembered for his love of family, compassion toward others, and the mischievous sense of humor he never lost.
We'll miss you so much, Pa. And no, we won't get over it.
