Timothy (Tim) Raymond Martin, age 78, of Lavon, TX, went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2025, at his home.
Early Life, Education, and Career
Tim was born in San Antonio, Texas, on March 1, 1947, to Roy and Lucille Martin. He completed his high school education at Texas High School in Texarkana, Texas, graduating in 1965. Following high school, Tim pursued further studies at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he earned an associate degree.
Tim dedicated 32 years of his professional life to United Parcel Service (UPS). Throughout his tenure, he worked diligently and ultimately achieved the position of supervisor. After a long and successful career, Tim retired from UPS at the age of 56 in 2003.
Patriotism and Faith
Tim’s deep faith in God was a guiding force throughout his life, providing strength and comfort during challenging times. His unwavering belief helped him navigate many moments, shaping his character and perspective.
Tim’s love for his country was equally profound and evident in everything he did. He demonstrated this commitment through honorable service in the United States Air Force Reserves. This role was a source of great pride for Tim, reflecting his dedication to the values and freedoms he held dear as an American. Tim’s patriotic spirit was a fundamental part of who he was, and he carried this devotion with him always.

Tim was an enthusiastic Texas Longhorn fan, known for his vibrant spirit and love of storytelling. He relished moments spent laughing and reminiscing with friends and family about their shared experiences. Tim took great pleasure in watching Texas Longhorn games, always sporting his signature Longhorn shirt and cap to show his support.
In addition to his love for sports, Tim had a deep passion for riding his Harley. He frequently embarked on motorcycle trips with his friends, traveling to remarkable destinations such as Alaska, Washington D.C., and various locations across the United States whenever the opportunity arose. Tim was especially fond of sharing stories about these adventures, reflecting his joy in both travel and camaraderie.
Hunting and fishing were other pastimes that Tim enjoyed with his friends, further strengthening the bonds he valued. Above all, Tim’s devotion to his family was evident in the way he cherished each member and prioritized spending time together. He regularly hosted gatherings at his home, creating lasting memories and demonstrating his commitment to sharing his life and time with his loved ones.
Outdoor Pursuits and Family Gatherings
Tim found great enjoyment in outdoor activities, particularly hunting and fishing, which he often shared with his friends. These shared experiences not only brought him pleasure but also served to strengthen the close relationships he valued so deeply.

Tim was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Roy and Lucille Martin, his devoted sister, Barbara (Babs) Pearcy, and his cherished grandson, Noel Martin. The memories of Roy and Lucille, Barbara, and Noel are treasured deeply by all who knew and loved them. Their guidance, love, and presence left a lasting impact on Tim’s life and continue to be felt by his family and friends. Though they are no longer with us, their influence endures in the hearts and memories of those whose lives they touched.
Family and Loved Ones
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Martin, who stood by his side and shared many cherished years together. His legacy continues through his children: son Corbett Martin and Corbett’s wife, Brooke, and daughter Skyler Martin as well as his son, Wesley Martin. Their presence and love were a source of pride and fulfillment for Tim.
Tim’s family circle also includes his nieces and their families. His niece, Brandye Woolfenden, and her husband, Karl, along with their children—Ashton, Annika, and Arison—carry forward memories and traditions shared with Tim. Another niece, Meaghan Pearcy, survives him, together with her husband, Stephen Corley, and their children, Corley and Georgia. In addition, Tim’s niece, Tasha Pearcy, and her partner, Andrew Vasquez, as well as their children, Aurora and Immanuel, remain part of his loving extended family.
Extended Family Members
Also surviving Tim is his half-sister, Michelle Martin, who remains a cherished part of his family circle. Tim’s extended family further includes Debbie’s children, each of whom continues to honor his legacy and the relationships built over the years. Tara Graika and her husband, Jason, who shared meaningful times and connections with Tim. Clay Whitaker and his wife, Dacota, along with their children, Macie and Everly, who carry forward treasured memories and traditions established with Tim.
Every member of this extended family holds a special place in remembering Tim, reflecting the enduring impact of his love, kindness, and the bonds formed throughout his life.
