Terso Muniz

Terso Muniz, age 73, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on July 30, 2026. He was born on August 30, 1952, in Sinton, Texas. As a young child, his family moved to Farmersville, Texas, where he began his schooling. He later made Garland, Texas, his home, where he spent most of his life building a legacy of faith, family, hard work, and service to others.

Terso peacefully passed away at his home, surrounded by his beloved family and his cherished church family. He was surrounded by the love, prayers, and support of those who meant the most to him, a reflection of the deep relationships he built throughout his life.

Terso was the devoted husband of Angelica Muniz, with whom he shared 37 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a loving home centered on faith and family. He is survived by his children, Eric Muniz and his wife, Elisha Muniz; Paul Muniz and his wife, Jessica Muniz; and Elisha Garcia and her husband, Isaac Garcia; as well as his stepson, Gilbert Flores. He was a loving grandfather and great-grandfather, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy and were a great source of pride and happiness in his life.

He is also survived by his brothers, Crispin Muniz and his wife, Emma; Benito Muniz and his wife, Cecilia; and Juan “Tilon” Muniz and his wife, Martina.

Terso was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Benito and Angelita Muniz; his brother, Juan Muniz; and his sister, Avelia Muniz.

Throughout his life, Terso was known for his unwavering work ethic and dedication. As a young man, he worked at an onion shed before beginning a career that included Owens Country Sausage, Quick to Fix, where he served as a Lead Man, Tyson Foods, where he worked as a Supervisor, and finally Garland ISD, where he faithfully served as a school bus driver for 22 years. In every role, he earned the respect of those around him through his integrity, dependability, and commitment to excellence.

More than any career accomplishment, Terso will be remembered for his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. He loved reading the Bible, listening to Christian music, and taking road trips with those he loved. He faithfully served as an evangelist, worked with his church’s Christian radio ministry, and served as an usher. He graduated from the Bible Institute at Central Park Church of God, continuing to grow in his knowledge of God’s Word and strengthening his calling to serve others. Sharing the Gospel and encouraging others in their walk with Christ were among his greatest passions. His life reflected the love of Christ in both word and deed.

Terso’s life was a testimony of faith, love, and selfless service. He had a joyful spirit and an infectious sense of humor that could brighten any room. He was hardworking, compassionate, generous, wise, responsible, respectful, honest, and humble. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, often putting others before himself without expecting anything in return. His wisdom, kindness, and genuine love for people touched countless lives, and he leaves behind a legacy that will continue through the many people he inspired.

Although his family and friends will miss him deeply, they rejoice in the assurance that he is now in the presence of his Savior. His legacy of faith, integrity, service, and unconditional love will continue to live on through his family, friends, and all those who were blessed to know him.
