Teri Ann Robinson

Teri Ann (Turner) Robinson, 74, passed away peacefully at her home in Parker, Texas, on September 6, 2026, surrounded by her husband, her children and grandchildren she loved so dearly.

Teri was born on May 8, 1952, in Los Angeles, California, to Robert Bruce Turner and Betty Jean (Tronvold) Turner. She was the oldest of 6 children. She grew up throughout Southern California, including Anaheim, and developed a lifelong love of sports at an early age.

A gifted and competitive athlete, Teri was a standout at Katella High School in Anaheim, where she played basketball, softball, volleyball, field hockey and competed in track and field. After graduating, she continued her basketball career at Fullerton Junior College. Teri later attended Roston Montessori Training Academy, earning her teaching certificate.

During Christmas 1976, Teri met Reid Robinson at a young adult activity. Their relationship quickly blossomed, and on February 11, 1978, they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles California Temple. They began their married life in Southern California, where their family grew to include four children. Teri's children were the greatest joy and accomplishment of her life. She devoted herself to raising them, teaching them, encouraging them, and preparing them for life. She was a tough mother at times, but she was also an exceptional one. Her children never doubted how deeply she loved them.

In 1988, Teri and her family left California and relocated to Plano, Texas, following Reid's career. For the next 26 years, Teri and Reid made Plano their home, raising their children, serving in their church and community, and welcoming their first grandchildren.

Of the many roles Teri held throughout her life, one of her favorites was the 16 years she spent as an office manager at a local physical therapy clinic. She cherished the friendships she made there and took pride in her work.

Teri was an avid sports fan and especially loved watching her children and grandchildren compete and excel at the high school and collegiate levels. She faithfully followed the Dallas Cowboys, BYU Cougars, Dallas Mavericks, and Indiana Fever. She particularly enjoyed watching the WNBA play and spent many evenings with her grandchildren, watching the games.

Faith and service were important parts of Teri's life. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Sanits where she served in numerous church callings. She gave generously of her time and talents in service to her church and community. Teri had an exceptional gift and love of teaching.

In 2014, Teri and Reid sold their family home in Plano and moved first to McKinney and later to Melissa as they entered retirement. In 2019, they built a home on land in Parker, Texas, alongside their son and daughter-in-law. There, Teri spent nearly seven years enjoying her beloved "room" and, most importantly, the close proximity to the grandchildren who brought her so much happiness. During the final year of her life, Teri was blessed to live within ten minutes of three of her four children, their spouses, and ten of her sixteen grandchildren. She treasured that time with her family and made the most of every opportunity to be together.

Teri will be remembered for her competitive spirit, her love of sports, her strong opinions, her humor, her faith, and her fierce devotion to her family. She could be tough. She could be stubborn. She could be wonderfully funny. Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren fiercely and without reservation.

Teri was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Bruce Turner and Betty Jean (Tronvold) Turner; her Aunt Margie and Uncle Don Hafen; her Aunt Nancy Turner; and her sisters, Vicki Russell and Lori Gunn. She is survived by her husband, Reid Robinson; her four children, Rob (Trisha), Shannon Dahle (Corey), Scott (Shayla), and Jamie Sharp (Ryan), and sixteen grandchildren; and extended family and many dear friends who were blessed to know and love her.
