Stephen Hoyt Moore, 58, of Garland, Texas passed away on November 21, 2025. He was born on August 11, 1967 in Garland, Texas. He was the beloved son of Danny and Shirley Moore. He graduated from North Garland High School in 1985. Then he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1991.
He started his career with the United States Postal Service in 1988 as a letter carrier. After 36 years of dedicated service, he retired in February, 2024. He was loved by his customers and his colleagues for his friendliness and sense of humor. In fact, he never met a stranger.
On May 24, 1991, Steve married Stefanie, his best friend and the love of his life. They shared 34 years of marriage with many wonderful memories.
The most important decision Steve ever made was when he was saved at seven years old. He asked Jesus to forgive him of his sins and become his Savior. From then on, he dedicated his life to Christ. He served as an assistant treasurer and usher at New Heights Baptist Church. More than anything, he always wanted to share his testimony of the Gospel message with others.
Steve’s passion was fishing and four-wheeling. He spent many days on the lakes each summer with his fishing buddies. He also loved four-wheeling trips with his friends and family in the woods of Arkansas.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Stefanie; his parents Danny and Shirley Moore; his sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Charlie Andrews; his nephews Jonah and Will; along with numerous cousins and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert & Pauline Edwards and Hoyt & Rosa Moore.
