Song Lin Yeh, 83, of Richardson, passed away peacefully on October 17th, 2025, with his family by his side. He is now reunited with his beloved wife of 59 years, Feng Yung Yeh-Liu.
Born on March 5th, 1942, in Taoyuan, Taiwan, to Yeh Ming-Lu and Yeh Chen Lan-Mei, Song Lin began a life journey marked by hard work and adventure. He studied Economics at the National Taiwan University. In 1965, he served two years in the military, then attended a culinary school for one year.
In 1972, he embarked on a life-changing adventure to São Paulo, Brazil. His wife and three children soon followed, and together they built a life and a family business. It was in Brazil that they welcomed their fourth child and worked diligently to create opportunities that would one day lead them to the U.S.A.
Family was everything to Song Lin. He was a humble and happy man who cherished family gatherings. He was an avid competitor, winning a baking competition in Taiwan and a karaoke contest with the Hakka community in Brazil. His favorite pastimes included ping-pong, badminton, tennis, and most of all, holding his wife’s hand.
Song Lin is survived by his four children: Szu Kuan and his wife Cindy; Ching-I (Jeanny) and her husband Michael; Chia Chih and her husband Huy; and Miriam. He was a devoted grandfather to seven grandchildren: Chandler, Jolynn, Kristof, Jonathan, Zoe, Lilly, and Ava. His memory is cherished by his living siblings Lun Fen Yeh (brother), Huang Yeh Chui Mei (sister), Mei Yun Yeh (sister), Lun Ko Yeh (brother), Su Chu Yeh (sister) and Lun Chun Yeh (brother). Preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Lun Chuan Yeh (brother) and Lun Hwa Yeh (brother).
His loved ones will forever remember his strong work ethic, gentle spirit and the love for his family.
