Scott Alan Bufkin, age 68 passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026 in Greenville, TX. Scott was born on June 10, 1958 in Dallas, TX, the son of Ben & Myra Bufkin.

Scott worked at Camtron, Inc. for several years, but the job that brought him the most joy was being a bus driver for Wylie & Garland ISD. Scott retired from TRS in 2021. Scott had the best sense of humor. He loved telling jokes and making people laugh. If you knew Scott, you knew laughter. Scott also loved participating in car shows. His favorite vehicle was his 1978 Stardust pickup truck.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Ben Bufkin, Jr., his paternal grandparents Ben Bufkin, Sr. & Esie Mae Bufkin. His was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Orville & Myra Sutherland.

Scott is survived by his mother, Myra Tolbert, his brother and (partner in crime), Dale & his fiance' Kelly, his long time love, Anita Duncan & children Temperance & Cody Coughneor, Patience Stephens, Telitha & Tony Hulsey, Faith & Joe Hernandez, Robert Duncan, Charity & Shane Garcia & Amber Luna. He was also survived by 17 beautiful grandchildren. Scott was also very close to his nieces & nephew Chelsea Bufkin & Anton Reid, Kaylea Batt & husband Tony, & DJ Bufkin & wife Courtney and their children. Scott also leaves behind his best buddy, John Coker.

Scott loved his family & friends! But it was his grandchildren that were the center of his life. Scott was so happy and proud to learn the night before his passing, that his grandson, Cameron had been accepted into the Navy. Scott was also looking forward to watching his granddaughter Kendra cheerlead her senior year & watching Joshua play football in the fall. We will miss you, but we know you are with your dad.
