Robert Mark Reynolds

A much-loved husband, father, and brother, Robert Mark Reynolds, 67, of Richardson, Texas, passed away with family by his side on May 24, 2026 in Medical City Plano Hospital. He was born on May 27, 1958 in Madison, Indiana to Robert J. Reynolds and Mary K. Reynolds. Robert graduated from Shawe Prince of Peace High School after earning Salutatorian and nine varsity letters. He was an accomplished Boy Scout and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. In 1980, Robert graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BS in Chemical Engineering. In 1983, he received his MBA from Northwestern University in Chicago.

Robert began his career in 1980 at Texas Instruments Incorporated as a Semiconductor Facilities Engineer. Robert earned the title of Senior Member Technical Staff in 1996 and was dean of the Technical Ladder across TI Worldwide Facilities. He was granted his Professional Engineering License in 1993 and held it throughout his career. He was considered a technical expert in his field. He also had deep knowledge in Mechanical Engineering and Environmental Engineering. He was well known for mentoring young engineers, technicians, and practically anyone who needed help.

He was a life member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, a life member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and a member of the American Chemical Society. He was also a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Texas Society of Professional Engineers. He won the 2016 Engineer of the Year Award from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

During his free time, Robert enjoyed working on cars and family trips to South Padre Island. He was a big fan of baseball and enjoyed following the Texas Rangers and Cincinnati Reds. He also enjoyed listening to Country music.

He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 40 years, Cynthia Bouska Reynolds of Richardson; daughter Nicole Reynolds of Richardson; son Robert Reynolds of Richardson; brothers Richard Reynolds (Nancy) of Louisville, KY, Steven Reynolds (Karla) of Brazil, IN; sister Ann Dreiman (Bill) of South Bend, IN. He is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Robert and mother Mary; grandparents Robert and Julia Reynolds; and grandparents George and Maria Strickfaden.
