“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
McKinney, Texas — Rebecca Elizabeth Ferrill, 80, entered into the arms of her Lord on December 4, 2025. She was born on September 15, 1945, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, to George and Pauline Morkin.
Rebecca lived a vibrant life filled with faith, love, and creativity. Known for her big, bold spirit, sassy humor, and gift for storytelling, she brought light and joy wherever she went. An award-winning textile artist, she reflected God’s beauty through her work and through the kindness she showed others. She loved to travel—especially to Italy and Ireland—and cherished the years she spent living in Stavanger, Norway.
She earned her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Maine and her MBA from the University of Houston. Professionally, Rebecca served as a Human Resources Manager at Golden Plains Hospital in Borger, Texas, and at El Campo Bank in El Campo, Texas. She also gave freely of her time as a volunteer tax preparer with AARP and as a volunteer at Baylor Scott & White in McKinney.
Rebecca is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Lawrence “Larry” Ferrill of McKinney, Texas; daughters Stephanie Whitt (Stacy) of Bluffton, South Carolina, Abigail Ferrill of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, and Amanda Ferrill of Apple Valley, Minnesota; grandchildren Adam, Victoria, Kevin, Christian, Isabella, Lorelei, and Fintan; and great-grandchildren Ivy and Jasmine. Her greatest joy in life was her family, who she loved deeply and unwaveringly.
Visitation and rosary will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 652 Redbud Blvd, McKinney, Texas 75069.
May eternal light shine upon her, and may she rest in God’s perfect peace.
