Raymond Curtis Cooksey died peacefully in Dallas, Texas on October 16, 2022 after a short battle with Interstellar Lung Disease, at the age of 63.
He was born January 22, 1959 in Dallas County, the son of Roy Cooksey, Edith Emswiller and stepfather Donald Emswiller. He was a Christian man who loved to take care of his small farm at his home in Princeton. He was a construction worker and all around fixit it man always tinkering and fixing things. His passion was playing guitar, his favorite thing to do was to have jam sessions even if it meant doing it solo. He was a family man who everyone adored, he was always just a phone call away.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Roy Cooksey, Edith and Donald Emswiller; Sister Angela Cooksey and Brother Roy Cooksey Jr.
Raymond is survived by his wife Linda Steele of Princeton, TX; his children Angela Lyle, of Austin, TX , Bonnie Cooksey and Spouse Jason Laramore of Wylie, TX; Brother Randy Cooksey and spouse Dominga Cooksey of Pottsbrough, TX; Grandchildren Christopher McRay and Spouse Hannah Scarbrough of Wylie, TX, Braxton Laramore of Wylie, TX and Kaylie Lyle of Austin, TX; Great Grandson Waylon McRay of Wylie,TX; Nieces Jenny Orr of Wylie, TX, Melissa Cooksey of Wylie, TX and Michelle Merchant of Mansfield, TX.
