Phyllis Smiley Boyd

Phyllis Smiley Boyd, Age 88, of Plano, Texas passed away peacefully into heaven on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Texas.  She was born on March 25, 1937 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Ivory A. & Elsie Collins Smiley.  She was the wife of the late Clyde N. Boyd.  She was a retired Office Manager for a family-owned Nationwide Insurance Agency in Cincinnati, Ohio that she and her late husband operated for over 20 years.  She was a member of the Prairie Creek Baptist Church in Plano, Texas.

She is survived by two sons; Phil Boyd and Don Boyd of Plano, Texas, one daughter; Victoria Chu of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren; Katie, Zach, Josh Chu and Danny Martin.  A host of beloved nieces, nephews, family and special friends.  She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother; Abraham Smiley, three sisters; Waleda Smiley, Helen Smiley Holbrook and Mary Smiley Johnson.

There was a private memorial service held on June 5, 2025 at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas with burial following service.
