They then moved to Sachse, Texas where they were both active with the First Baptist Church of Sachse as well as the Sachse Senior Center and Sachse Garden Club. After Dale’s passing in 2020, Penny moved to Wylie, Texas and joined the First United Methodist Church of Sachse.

Her lifelong hobbies were reading books, working puzzles and playing bridge. She was a faithful member of her church families and her social circles. She never met a stranger and was widely popular for her welcoming smile and encouraging spirit.
