Pamela Ruth Patridge

Pamela Ruth Patridge, 72, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, after breast cancer returned and eventually spread to her bones. She was born on May 4, 1954, in Denison, Texas.

Pamela was born and raised in Texas, living in several towns throughout her childhood before her family settled in Ladonia during her high school years. She was the youngest of five children and was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Mike. She is survived by her sister, Kathy and her brother, L.C. "Jr.". Growing up, Pamela often described herself as painfully shy. She endured plenty of teasing from her older brother, Jr., while looking up to and admiring her older sister.

At 18, she couldn't wait to leave small-town Texas behind. She married and embraced life as a military wife, spending the next twenty years living in communities across the United States before eventually making her way back home to the Dallas area. For the last nearly 28 years, she shared her life with her husband, Robert Patridge. Together they built a life rooted in love, and in her final years, Robert faithfully cared for her with unwavering devotion and compassion.

She leaves behind her daughters, Angela and Adrienne; her grandchildren, Amber, Dylan, Sierra, Blaise, and Pierce; and her great-grandchildren, Braxton, Phoenix, and Lennox, each of whom brought her tremendous joy.

Life shaped Pamela into a fiercely strong and independent woman. She loved her family deeply and always wanted the very best for them. She believed in hard work, personal responsibility, and wasn't afraid to offer honest advice when she thought it was needed. More than anything, she was dependable. Through celebrations, disappointments, and life's hardest moments, you could count on Pamela to be there.

Pamela survived breast cancer twice during her lifetime, never wanting anyone to make a fuss over her. When the cancer returned years later and spread to her bones, she faced it with the same quiet determination that had carried her through so much of life. Dementia, oddly enough, gave her an unexpected gift during that final season. She didn't spend her days worrying about how sick she was because, much of the time, she simply didn't realize it. Instead, she continued being herself, knowing and loving her family until the end. She fought to remain independent for as long as she possibly could, and even when her pain was evident to everyone around her, she rarely complained.

If Pamela could have written part of this herself, she'd probably tell everyone not to make too biga deal out of it. But those who loved her know a life like hers deserves to be remembered. She was resilient, loyal, stubborn, witty in her own quiet way, and stronger than she ever gave herself credit for. Her family will miss her deeply and carry her lessons with them always. Her greatest legacy isn't found in grand accomplishments, but in a lifetime of simply being there. Through every season of life, Pamela showed up. And for those who loved her, that made all the difference.
