Nina Yvonne Smethers Stouth, a resident of McKinney, Texas, went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2025, at the age of 92.

Born on August 29, 1932, in Parker County, Texas, she was the sixth of ten children. She went to Olden High School, where she was on the pep squad, played basketball, and was a tennis player. After marriage, she stayed home to raise her five children. Later, she worked at Sears, Roebuck & Co. and retired after 20+ years as a credit manager.

She possessed a quick wit and a delightful sense of humor, always eager to participate in social activities. She loved traveling with her children, including trips to Germany, Switzerland, England, Jamaica, Catalina Island, Hawaii, and local Texas attractions. Her interests included softball, tennis, and reading. She also found great enjoyment in playing cards, dice, quilting, and other needlework pursuits.

She was an active member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Monahans, Texas. After moving to McKinney in 2018, she attended the First Baptist Church of Allen.

Yvonne’s love, and dedication to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her five children, Linda Currey, Jack Wilson (Charlene), Judee Wilson Gilley (Jeff), Donna Wilson Schoolfield (Michael), and Robert Stouth; her grandchildren, Michael, Adam, Shannon, and Drew; and her great-grandchildren Zack, Chloe, Gavin, Lydia, Tucker, Oliver, and Ryder, along with numerous nieces and nephews, will cherish her love and memories forever.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Johnnie “Dub,” Elvis, Lloyd, Joe, and Don; four sisters, Frances, Vie Mae, Faye, and Ena; and two beloved granddaughters, Courtney Rae Wilson and Heather Nicole Stouth.
