Miriam Marquez Ramos

December 22, 1957 — November 27, 2025

Princeton, Tx

Miriam Marquez Ramos, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and culinary artist, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at her residence in Princeton, Texas. She was 67 years old.

Born on December 22, 1957, in Puerto Rico, Miriam, known to all as Chiquin, spent the first part of her life on the island she loved before moving to Texas 15 years ago, where she cultivated a vibrant family life and shared the warmth of her home and kitchen with all who knew her.

Miriam was first and foremost a loving mother and wife, the steady heart of her family. On February 14, 1975, she married the love of her life, Jesus Resto Moyet. For over five decades, they built a beautiful life together, raising four sons and creating a legacy of fierce family devotion. As a housewife, she poured her energy, passion, and creativity into her home, making it a sanctuary of love, comfort, and, most famously, amazing cooking.

Her kitchen was the most popular room in the house, where the aromas of her native Puerto Rican cuisine delighted family and friends. Miriam was renowned for her signature dishes—each one made with an extra measure of love and an incredible knack for flavor. Her meals were legendary, and the simple act of sharing them was her deepest expression of care. She loved her family fiercely, and that love was tangible in every recipe she prepared.

Beyond the kitchen, Miriam was known for her infectious energy and vibrant spirit. She had a deep love for music, dancing, and having fun. A gathering at Miriam's house was rarely quiet; there was always music playing, and she was often the first one to pull someone onto the floor to dance. Her passion for life was boundless, bringing joy and laughter to every occasion.

Miriam’s legacy continues through her extensive and loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Jesus Resto Moyet. She leaves behind her four beloved sons: Jorge, Jesus, Jose, and Javier. She was the cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren and the proud great- grandmother to two great-grandchildren.

Miriam Marquez Ramos lived a life defined by loyalty, warmth, delicious food, and the joy of a good song and a dance. Her memory will forever be a source of warmth and comfort, much like the delicious food she so lovingly prepared.
