She earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, then taught High School Mat for 20 years at Mesquite High School. She returned to college for a master’s degree in accounting and opened her own CPA office before going to work for the city of Dallas in various departments.

Her son earned his business degree and went into advertising.

She provided a home to 2 sisters in high school who became like her daughters.

She and her husband traveled with an RV in retirement until they had to stay closer to home to care for her mother.

A series of strokes disabled Mary and she could not recover. God in his mercy has taken her home.
