Jesus was her friend
He blessed her every day
And heaven was her end
By his side she did stay

Jesus was her friend
His love did not depart
And Heaven was her end
She kept Him always in her heart

Jesus was her friend
His love she did not deserve
And Heaven was her end
She lived like Him - only to serve

Jesus was her friend
Forgiveness He freely gave
And Heaven was her end
She died to self and let Him save.
A friend in Jesus
