Mary Ann Herron

Mary Ann Ball Rhys Herron, 69, of McKinney, TX passed away on March 17, 2023.

Mary Ann was born on June 23, 1953 to Charles Ball & Ruth Kimball in Dallas, TX. She graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX and went on to serve as a Collin County Courthouse court clerk for 28 years before retiring in 2008.

When Mary Ann was younger, she trained as a barrel racer and loved horses. In her adult years, she enjoyed traveling and being in her garden. She loved telling stories to anyone that would listen and she was very generous to her family and close friends. 

Mary Ann was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Chuck Ball. She is survived by her two sons, Dustin & Travis, and her nieces and nephews, Genesis, Rebekah, Alisa, Charlie & John.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 23 from 9:30 - 11am at Charles W. Smith Funeral Home, 601 S. Tennessee St, McKinney, TX 75069. A funeral service will follow at 11am. 

She will be laid to rest next to her parents and brother at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, TX.
