Mary Elaine Lewis

Mary Elaine Lewis age 77, of Princeton TX went home to meet the Lord on Wednesday, June 18th 2025. Mary passed away at her home, surrounded by the people she loved. Mary was born in Hot Springs Arkansas on February 22nd, 1948 to Mary Virginia and Carl T. Foster. Mary resided in Arkansas until the 1980’s after which time she moved with her husband Mark Lewis, to the Plano Texas area. Mary and her family settled in Princeton Texas where she lived for the remainder of her life.

Mary is survived by her husband of 46 years Mark Lewis, her daughter Deborah Dorris, two granddaughters, three grandsons, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Foster, her father Carl Foster, her Daughter Gloria Fleming, two sisters Gail Yarbrough and Teresa Cox and two brothers Gary Foster, and Mark Foster.

Mary was a woman of great faith, never missing a Sunday at church. Whether that was attending services in person, or attending a live stream online. At home you would find Mary tending to her flowers and plants in the garden and enjoying a cup of strong coffee. Mary loved spending time with her family, reading a good book and cheering for her beloved Arkansas Razorbacks. While Mary will be deeply missed by the family and friends she left behind, we will all treasure the memories of holiday dinners we shared, the wisdom she bestowed and the love she gave. We find peace knowing Mary is resting in her eternal home surrounded by the rewards of a life well lived.

A memorial service will be held at the Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Mckinney Texas, Saturday, June 28th at 11:00 am. The family will welcome anyone who would like to attend.
