Mary Darlene Hamm, 75, of Quinlan, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, surrounded by love. Born on December 16, 1949, in Belton, Texas, to Luther and Arnetta Black, Darlene was one of seven children. Darlene grew up in Oak Cliff and graduated from Richardson High School in 1968. She married her beloved husband, Larry, that same year, beginning a lifelong journey marked by devotion, resilience, and joy.
Darlene was a woman of unwavering faith, deep generosity, and spirited humor. She was known for her fierce determination, her infectious laugh, and her ability to make anyone feel at home. Her imagination knew no bounds. Whether crafting quilts, crocheting or rock painting, she brought creativity and heart to everything she touched.
Darlene is survived by her husband Larry; children Melissa, Josh, and Melinda; siblings Nelda, David, Dennis, and Amy; and seven grandchildren: Clayton, Autumn, Drake, Jordan, Rykar, Rachel and Owen, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Arnetta, sisters Eldean and Christine, and son Lonnie.
Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and faith. Darlene walked with Christ, uplifted those around her, and left behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
