The son of Robert D. Yager, of Kaw City, OK and Billie J. Whitley of Ft. Worth TX, Marshall Leonard Yager born in Van Nuys, CA January 13, 1946 peacefully passed away at home in Garland, TX on November 8, 2024. 

Marshall leaves a large hole in the hearts of his Sister, Pam Geirhardt of Lovelock, NV, his wife Randi, of 55 years, Daughter, Vikki Montoya Granddaughters, Abriana and Anika Montoya of Palm Desert , CA and Daughter Valerie Ellerd, Grandsons Devin Debernardi, Dylan, Jaxon and Christian Ellerd of Princeton, TX., along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

Marshall retired in 2002 from Verizon after 37 years of service. An avid Brooklyn, then Los Angeles Dodger fan since childhood, he was able to enjoy this year's world series win. His humor, laugh, smile and big bear hugs will always bring love and comfort. He always loved cheering on his daughters and grandchildren, never missing a game. He enjoyed sports, camping, waterskiing, bowling, playing softball and especially traveling. He has been an amazing Husband, Brother, Dad and Papa he will be forever loved and missed.

The celebration of Marshall's life will be held on Tuesday, November 26th at 7pm at the FiveStone Community Church, 1600 W Campbell Rd, Garland, TX 75044. Any flowers can be sent to the church. Please make any donations to your favorite pet rescue.
