Manasseh Mukendi, 7 years old, of Kalamazoo, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in 2018, Manasseh was the beloved son of Nico Mukendi and Stephanie Muamba. He attended Stinson Elementary School, where he stood out for his intelligence and his love of learning. A bright student, he was admired and appreciated by his teachers for his kindness, curiosity, and radiant smile.
Manasseh was a child full of joy, innocence, and gentleness. He shared a very special bond with his older brother, whom he loved deeply. They were inseparable, like twins, sharing laughter, games, and companionship every day.
He leaves behind his mother, his father, and his older brother who loved him dearly, as well as all those who had the privilege of knowing his pure heart and bright spirit.
Even though his life was short, the love and light he spread will remain forever in our hearts. His smile will continue to shine in our memories, and his spirit will live on eternally in the love of his family.
Message from his mother
“My son, my baby, my angel…
You are and will always remain a part of me.
Your smile was my strength, your voice was my joy.
Even though my arms can no longer hold you, my heart will carry you forever.
I will love you always, my Manasseh.”
Prayer
Lord, we entrust to You our precious child.
Thank You for every moment shared with him.
Give us the strength to go through this pain
and keep his soul in Your eternal peace and light.
Amen.
