Malcolm Walter Benton

Malcolm Walter Benton, 64, of Sachse, Texas, was received into the arms of Jesus on January 6th, 2026.

He was born on March 12th, 1961, in Avon Park, Florida to Joseph Patrick Benton and Ethyl Ruth (Wilkerson) Thompson.

Malcolm loved his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of Rodgers Baptist Church. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of nearly 43 years, Tammie (Cox) Benton, and an amazing father. Malcolm cherished every opportunity to spend time with his children, grandchildren and loving son in law. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing on baseball and bowling leagues and camping with his family. Later in life, he took great pleasure in listening to his son, Malcolm Jr., play guitar and sing.

Malcolm is survived by his wife Tammie Lee (Cox) Benton of Sachse, Texas, daughter Crystal and husband John Mefford with 3 children Garrett, Savannah and Camryn of Little Elm, Texas, son Malcolm Benton Jr. of Sachse, Texas, brother Joe and wife Russe Benton of Farmers Branch, Texas, brother James Benton of Dallas, Texas, sister Nan Gonzalez of Addison, Texas and brother Nathan and wife Melissa Benton of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of loving relatives and friends.

Malcolm is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Patrick Benton and Ethyl Ruth (Wilkerson) Thompson.
