Luis Adrian Romero, lovingly known as “Chico” and “El Bukis” by his family and friends, was born on September 24, 1991, in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico. He spent most of his life in McKinney, Texas, where he built lasting friendships, created cherished memories, and left a mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
From a young age, Luis stood out. He attended Burks Elementary, where he proudly maintained perfect attendance and earned honor roll recognition. At Faubion Middle School, he discovered his love for football, forming strong bonds with teammates and friends. He later graduated from McKinney Boyd High School, carrying with him the same determination and heart that defined his character.
Luis had a deep passion for music, but what truly set him apart was his remarkable attention to detail and love for cleanliness and organization. Whether it was his room, his car, or any shared space, everything was always spotless and perfectly in place. Family and friends often joked that if Luis was around, you could count on things being neat and welcoming. He took pride in creating spaces that felt comfortable, orderly, and cared for a reflection of who he was inside.
He had a gift for making people laugh. Luis loved spending time with friends, sharing jokes, telling stories, and creating memories that will live on forever. His sense of humor, warm spirit, and loyal heart will never be forgotten.
Luis leaves behind his beautiful daughter, Dyann Romero, who was the light of his life; his loving mother, Maria Edith Romero; his father, Jaime Romero; and his brothers, Gary, Michael, and Jaime. He also leaves behind countless relatives and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts always.
Luis was involved in a tragic accident and passed away instantly, without suffering. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave and the joy he brought will remain forever.
His sudden passing has left an immeasurable void in our family and community. As we grieve this unimaginable loss, we choose to remember Luis for his accomplishments, his laughter, his kindness, and the countless good times he gave us.
Thank you for keeping Luis our Chico, our “El Bukis” in your thoughts and prayers. His memory will live on in all of us.
