Linda Dodson Tyler

Linda Beth “Dodson” Tyler passed away on August 17, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved her dearly and a lifetime of beautiful memories.

Linda was born on February 29, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, and was raised in Nevada, Texas. She was the daughter of James Adolph Dodson and Jo Evelyn Dodson.

Linda was truly one of the sweetest souls you could ever know. She had a loving and gentle heart, and her family meant more to her than anything. Some of her greatest joys in life came from simply spending time with the people she loved. Her warmth, kindness, and the love she gave so freely will be remembered by everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Adolph Dodson and Jo Evelyn Dodson; her brother, Larry Dodson; and her beloved son, Kevin James Parmer.

Linda is survived by her husband, Robert Tyler; her brother, Philip Dodson; and her son and daughter-in-law, William Carrell Parmer Jr. and Ginger Parmer; and Ryan and Meg Tyler. She is also survived by her grandchildren, William Blake Parmer, Victoria Karel Parmer, Taylor Craig, and Austin Craig; and her great-grandchildren, Elijah, Adelynn, Bailey, Crew, and Lainey.

Family was at the very heart of Linda’s life. She treasured the time she spent with those she loved, and nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by her family.

While her family will deeply miss her sweet spirit and loving presence, they will carry with them the love she gave, the memories they shared, and the special way she made those around her feel cherished.

Linda’s life was one filled with love for her family, and that love will continue through the generations she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who loved her.
