Kenneth W. Conoly

Kenneth W. Conoly “Sonny” passed away on Monday

September 4, 2017. He was born in Dallas, Texas to Esta and

Charles Conoly.

He served in the Navy from 05-25-1962 to 08-01-1967. He had

a successful 38 year career with Varo and also 35 year career

with Courter-Hall. Kenneth was a loving husband, father,

brother and grandfather who lived life to the fullest. He shared

his joy, humor and love with all those who knew him. He was a

lover of horses and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with all

whom shared the same interest. He was a positive role model

that mentored and inspired many. He was a member of New

Liberty Baptist Church in Garland, Texas.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years Barbara J. Conoly of

Garland, Texas; daughter Darla G. Conoly of Garland, Texas; son

and daughter-in-law Eddie Chris and Lou Anne Elliott of Union

Valley, Texas; sister and brother-in-law Linda and Frank

Scrimshire of Yantis, Texas; grandchildren Christopher Brant

Elliott of Dayton, Texas; Thomas Ray Elliott of Chicago, Illinois

and Angela Elliott of Union Valley, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents Esta and Charles

Conoly of Richardson Texas; sisters Helen Schnitzuis and Betty

Gaffney; brothers Charles Conoly Jr. and Bill Conoly.

Family ask that in lieu of flowers that donations may be made

to the Alzheimer’s Association
