Judy Shea

Judy Shea, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on July 6th, 2025, in Allen, Texas, at the age of 57.

Born in McKinney, Texas, on November 20th, 1967, Judy was a lifelong nurturer — in both her work and her relationships. She dedicated much of her life to caring for others, running an in-home childcare business and later working as an in-home health nurse. She had a gift for making people feel seen, safe, and loved, and her presence brought comfort to everyone lucky enough to know her.

Judy was the heart of her family — the kind of person who showed up, remembered every birthday, and made holidays feel magical. She had a natural warmth that drew people in, and a laugh that made any room feel lighter. Her home was always open, and so was her heart.

She was a gifted crafter, known for her beautiful jewelry-making, floral arrangements, and her ever-growing collection of unique pieces that she loved to share with others. Her creativity, like her kindness, seemed endless.

Judy’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother to her three children — David Shea, Crystal Rabb, and Elena Shea — and an adoring grandmother to Nadja, Jason, Maddi, and Brooklyn. She found deep purpose in raising her children and helping raise her grandchildren, offering unconditional love, advice, and the kind of support that only she could give.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Shea, who passed away in 2001, as well as her parents, Purvis and Brinda Griffis, and her mother-in-law, Bonnie Johnson.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren, her siblings — Purvis, Bronda, Tammy, Charles, and Danny — and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved her deeply. Among them was her dear friend Max, who remained a close and constant presence in her life.

Judy’s memory will live on in the lives she touched, the family she held together, and the love she gave so freely. Her absence leaves an ache that can never be filled, but her spirit — joyful, gentle, and generous — will always be with us.
