Juan Abelardo Rojas “JR” was born on February 7, 1986, in Miguel Auza, Zacatecas, Mexico, and rested in the arms of Jesus on April 15, 2026. He was raised in Dallas, Texas, where he built many meaningful memories and lifelong relationships. In 2018, Juan returned to his beloved homeland of Mexico, where he lived until his final day, staying close to his roots and the land that shaped him.
Juan was known as an “Alma Aventura”—a free and adventurous spirit who loved to travel and experience life to the fullest. He enjoyed watching football, especially cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, and had a natural gift for making people laugh with his jokes and lighthearted personality. He loved spending time with his parents, cooking out with family, enjoying music, and being outdoors. Juan also had a passion for being a “Comerciante,” proudly selling and harvesting organic products while connecting with people through his work. He lived boldly, often on the edge, embracing life with energy and courage.
Juan was preceded in death by his father, Abelardo Rojas Sanchez; his paternal grandparents, Miguel Rojas Perez and Maria del Socorro Sanchez; and his maternal grandparents, Vicente Rivas and Maria de Jesus Canales. He is survived by his beloved son, Juan Caleb Rojas; his mother, Alma Rivas Canales, and stepfather, Joe Mares; and his sisters, Samantha Rojas Castro, Viviana Del Toro, Perla Mendez, Rubi Rojas Nino, and Yuliana Delgado. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: Xavier, Aylah, Liam, Amelia, Mia, Julian, Ari, Genesis, Henry Abelardo, Ivana, Camila, Ismael, Catalina, Evelyn, Eliana, and Elijah; along with his brothers-in-law, Diego Castro, Julian Del Toro, Enrique Mendez, Jose Nino, and Juan Delgado. Juan’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
John 12:24 “unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much fruit.”
