Joyce Rene Tucker

Joyce Rene Tucker, age 92, of Garland, Texas, passed away on May 28, 2026, in Plano, Texas.

She was born on February 11, 1934, in Dallas, Texas, to Lloyd Seburn Sagely and Oneta Young. Joyce grew up in Blue Ridge, Texas, where she attended school and proudly served as a majorette.

Joyce worked for ValSpar Paint and later for Garland ISD. She was a devoted Baptist and will be remembered as a generous, caring, and loving woman who was strong in faith and deeply devoted to her family. She especially loved sewing and taking care of those she loved most.

She is survived by her children, Gregory Ray Pruett (Amy) and Kristi Beth Goodwin; her grandchildren, Jennifer Nicole Goodwin (Chris), Charles Jason Goodwin (Courtney), Steven Thomas Pruett, and Scott Gregory Pruett; and her great-grandchildren, Ava Elise Goodwin, Kensley Nicole Casey, and Brody Cole Goodwin. She is also survived by her nieces, Sharon Howard and Laurie Airhart, and her nephew, Michael Sagely.

She was preceded in death by her parents, L.S. and Oneta Sagely; her husbands, Billy Ray Pruett and Billy Bob Tucker; her children, Steven Craig Pruett and Diane Rene Pruett; Son-In-Law Troy Goodwin; and her siblings, Eva Vernell Sagely, Alvin Lloyd Sagely (Cotton), and Orvel Doyle Sagely.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge, Texas.

Joyce will be remembered for her love of family, her strength, and the kindness she showed throughout her life.
