Johnny William Stout of Sachse, TX passed away on July 11, 2026 at the Dallas Veterans Hospital. He was born on September 19,1943 to the late Jessie and Nora Stout.

He married the love of his life, Ellen Gale Stout on May 7,1983. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Maberry and grandson-in-law Bo McCoy. He leaves to cherish his memory 3 daughters Kelly Rogan, Robyn Brigdon, Shannan Harrison and her husband Jerry as well as 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sister Janey Brandon and brother in law's Frankie Brandon and Joe Maberry and his children Misty and Shane.

John graduated high school from Community High School and college from East Texas State University. Professionally he retired from the City of Dallas Housing Authority. He was in the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War from 1965-67 and received the Purple Heart.

John enjoyed catch and release fly fishing, fly tying, hunting, wood working, camping, watching westerns (especially John Wayne), and his weekly "drive arounds" with Ellen on back roads and eating out!

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the First Baptist church in Lavon, TX. Viewing will be at 1PM, services will begin at 2PM with the Brother Clint Bratcher officiating. Pallbearers will be Jerry Harrison, Hunter Biasatti, Lucas Biasatti, JD Harrison, Jacob Maldonado, Frankie Brandon, Joe Maberry and Jayden Bridgon and Mike Biasatti.

John's life motto, " An old sinner is not worthy of God's grace"
