Jerelene Rampy Hawkins

"Jeri" born February 2, 1932 in Water Valley, Mississippi, passed peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the age of 93. She resided with her son Jack and Joyce Hawkins in Wylie, TX.

She leaves behind her two sons: Jack (Joyce) Hawkins and Larry (Gena) Hawkins; grandchildren: Shane (Shawna), Stephanie (Donnie), John, Larry, Nathan (Jennifer) and Jared (Trista); several great-

grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; with many nieces and nephews.

Those who passed before her includes her husband John Alvin Hawkins; her parents Walter Victor & Eugenia Rampy; and her brothers: Wallace, Homer, Sammy.

On Thursday, January 15, there will be a "family only" visitation from 10am - 5pm. Her casket will be open for family to say goodbyes at Smith & Sons Funeral Home Sachse. On Friday, January 16, a graveside service will be held in Center, Tx.

Jeri worked and retired as an executive secretary for Oilwell. Her greatest service was her choice to follow Jesus and attend church faithfully. For several years she served as a ladies' Sunday School teacher at FBCSachse. Her dedication shaped her values and gentle spirit throughout her life. She leaves behind a Jesus legacy defined by kindness, service and quiet strength. She ran His race!
