Jana Stroud Jackson

Jana Gail Stroud Jackson, 80, of Nevada, TX, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, after a brief and sudden illness. She was born on January 16, 1946, in Morrilton, AR, to JC and Aylene Stroud.

Jana will be remembered for her love for Jesus, her servant heart and her creativity - as she was affectionately known as “The Wreath Fairy. ”She fiercely loved her kids and grandkids as well as watching college sports, especially her beloved Arkansas Razorbacks. She is survived by her children, Brent Jackson, Melanie Brown (Jay), and Alissa Benoit (Chris); and her grandchildren, Meagan Jackson González, Tori Wood (Tommy), Morgan Clark (Stephen), Abby Patterson (Alex), Madeline Jackson and Bailey Benoit as well as great-grandchildren, Jason Jackson and Masee Rodríguez. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Dr. J. Douglas Stroud; and her husband, Don H. Jackson.

In celebration of her life, a come and go time of remembrance and visitation will be held on Sunday, August 16 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at The Waters Club House, 105 Waters Way, Nevada, TX. Interment at DFW National Cemetery will occur at a later date. Her family is grateful for your prayers, kindness and support during this time.
