Helen Ruth Elliott

Helen Ruth Horstmann- Elliot of Garland, Texas, passed away March 14, 2017 in Garland, Texas. She was born in El Reno, Oklahoma to Floyd and Velma (Douglas) Clem. Helen attended High School in McGregor, Texas. She married Lester Horstmann on June 27, 1947 and had two children, Al and Patsy. She attended Mary Harden Baylor for a time. Helen and Lester enjoyed taking their children to Garner State Park for many years. She and Lester also enjoyed Square dancing. She was an accomplished seamstress making most of her Square dance costumes.

It was at Square dancing she met her 2nd husband James Al Elliott. She and Al Elliott were married on June 25, 1982. She and Al enjoyed traveling in their RV. Helen worked at the Mexia State School and later The Denton State School.

Helen leaves behind 2 Children, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She will be buried at Roselawn Cemetery in Denton, Texas between her two Husbands.
