Heather Rayanne Tomlinson, born on October 6, 1978, in Fort Worth, Texas, was called to her eternal home on August 25, 2025, in McKinney, Texas, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Throughout her journey, Heather displayed incredible courage and unwavering hope. She faced every challenge with determination and grace, inspiring everyone who knew her. Heather’s strength and positivity touched the lives of family, friends, and all who had the privilege of crossing her path. Her legacy is one of resilience, love, and inspiration. Heather’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her spirit will continue to encourage others to face life’s challenges with the same bravery and hope she so beautifully embodied.
Heather was a woman of simple means, but with complex tastes and exacting standards. “If I’m going to pay for something, then it as to be what I want, and it has to be right.” Every meal she ordered had to be modified so “they have to pay attention to my plate”, and God help any person doing service work that was sloppy at their profession.
Heather did not have a lot of material things; however, she was an avid thrifter, always on the hunt for the best deals and hidden treasures. Her passion for thrifting wasn’t just a hobby - it was a way of life. Whether she was searching for vintage clothes or unique purses, Heather had an eye for spotting quality items at unbeatable prices. For Heather, thrifting was more than just shopping; it was a creative journey, a way to express herself, and a source of endless pleasure.
Whenever there was an occasion for gifting to her, she would often say, “I don’t want things, I want experiences.” And she had experiences. From her surprise proposal while visiting Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Teton Mountains to the Amalfi Coast in Italy, to her final trip where she had the special joy of experiencing the beauty of Maine and jumping along the rocky coast as the waves crashed at her feet. Those experiences and many more will remain with her and will be precious memories to those who had the privilege of enjoying them with her.
Heather is survived by her loving husband, Tim Tomlinson, mother, Janice Paslay, her brother, Travis Paslay, daughter, Reina Jordan, son Alex Jordan, daughter in law, Kim Jordan, one grandchild, Vale and her beloved Goldendoodle Rockie. She was predeceased by her stepfather Hulan Paslay and her father Ray Pierce.
