Harold Dawson

Harold Dawson was born March 24, 1930. He passed away June 26, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. Harold will be remembered as a fun loving friend, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a friend to all and always had a good story to share. He served in the US Navy, and in his spare time enjoyed gardening and visiting friends and family in Canton. Throughout his life he had a strong work ethic and was proudly a 28 year veteran of the Dallas Fire Department and multiple trucking lines. Harold was a brother to seven siblings growing up in Canton, Texas. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Lottie and Blanks Dawson; brothers, Ben and Ronald Dawson; sister, Sally Hilard; and son, Earnest Wayne Dawson. He is survived by wife, Alyce Dawson; brothers, Max and Ruth Dawson; Charlie and Wanda Dawson; Jerry and Susie Dawson; Alan and Sandra Dawson; his children Sandra Marie and Danny Hardwick; Harold Ray and Barbara Dawson; and Mark Lee and Sandy Dawson; grandchildren, Heather Kingsmore; Seth and Matthew Hardwick; Chris and Joey Chitty; Chance and Cortney Dawson; great-granddaughter Loreli Kingsmore. The service will be held Thursday June 29, 2017 at 12 noon at Eastgate Funeral Home, 1910 Eastgate Dr. Garland, Texas 75041.
