Glenda Fae Runnels (1937-2026)

Fae Runnels, age 89, passed away peacefully on the morning of September 6, 2026. She was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was marked by faith, love, and devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Fae was born on August 13, 1937, in Corsicana, Texas, to Richard and Ottie Stubbs. After graduating from Corsicana High School, Fae attended Navarro County Junior College, where she was a proud member of the drumline. She later attended Texas Barber College, graduating in 1980. Following graduation, Fae opened and operated The Hair Clippers in Garland, where she worked as the owner and stylist for sixteen years.

Fae enjoyed her family, golf, traveling, and the outdoors. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Ambrose Brooklyn Runnels, her brother Kenneth Stubbs, and her parents Richard and Ottie Stubbs.

Fae is survived by her two sons Steve and Keith Runnels and their spouses Gina and Lynn Runnels. She has five grandchildren: Brooklyn and her husband Westin Korinek, Payton Koerner, Delaney Runnels, Reagan and his wife Haley Runnels, and Bryce Bennett, and has six great grandchildren: Carver and Keller Korinek, Campbell and Murphie Koerner, and Haven and Brooks Runnels.

Services will be held at Charles Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Sachse, Texas on Monday, September 14, 2026. Viewing will begin at 9:00am and service at 10:00am. Burial will be in Corsicana, Texas.
