George Willis Wentz

George Willis Wentz, III, age 81 of McKinney, Texas, passed away on January 9, 2018 in McKinney. He was born on September 14, 1936 in Winnie, Texas to Frank Standiford and Roxie (Barnett) Wentz. George married Jean Nelson on November 1, 1958 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He served in the U.S. Army and continued to work as an engineer for the military after his discharge from the service. George was of the Episcopalian faith, and he was a Mason.

George is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean Wentz; daughter, Melissa Whittington and husband, Steve; sons, Stan Wentz and wife, Ivy and George Wentz IV; grandchildren, Selene Abad and Sidni Wentz; and great-grandchildren, Sophia Abad and Julian Abad. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Stan Wentz.
