George Robert Cummings Jr., born October 29, 1944, affectionately known as “Papa”, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy of love and family. He was the devoted widower of Marsha Kay Cummings, and the beloved son of the late George R. Cummings Sr. and Sudi Baker Cummings.

Together for nearly 52 years, George and Marsha lived a full and adventurous life, traveling the world and embracing every opportunity to explore new places. George had a deep passion for the ocean and was always in search of the world’s most beautiful beaches. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy and success in fishing and hunting, proudly earning several trophies over the years. He loved boating and spent countless cherished days on Lake Texoma. George also had a lifelong love for photography, capturing and sharing the beauty he saw in the world around him. He lived by the motto, “The best or nothing,” a phrase he often repeated and truly embodied throughout his life. Whether exploring the world, pursuing his passions, or spending time with family, he approached everything with excellence, intention, and heart.

George is survived by his children Greg Cummings, wife Sherry, along with their daughters Krystal and Chynna; Shana Cummings Cebell and husband Aaron Cebell, and her daughter Carsyn; Blake Cummings and Melissa Chester, and his daughters Jade and Sage.

Our Dad is now reunited with our Mom on a white sandy beach and forever beautiful days ahead. He will be missed by us and would expect all to continue forward always striving for “The best or nothing”.
