Gary Carlton Grant March 2, 1949 - August 21, 2025 Born on March 2, 1949 in Pasadena, Texas to Elsa and Harold Grant. Gary is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gay (Stallworth) Grant; his 4 children, Colette Stanton (and Mark Klaene), Heather Cuddy (and Jacob Cuddy), Heath Grant (and Crystal Grant), and Noelle Malone (and Randy Malone); 7 precious grandchildren, Pierce, Case, Macie, Wyatt, and Kinsey, joined later in life by Kathryn and Alexa; sister, Diana Miller (and Bill Miller); and many more extended family members. He is preceded in death by his loving parents and grandparents; brother, David; and beloved grandson, Grant.
Gary enjoyed golfing, was an ardent fan of the Texas Rangers, forever an outdoorsman, and a life-long hunter and supporter of Texas wildlife conservation. He loved driving the roads of Texas for work and pleasure; eating at small town restaurants, and hunting and fishing with his dad, son, and grandson. He dearly cherished his family, many friends and Northlake Baptist Church, and was consistently generous with his time and love.
Gary was a people person who always had a joke or story to share and he would tell them to anyone who would listen. He was a member of Northlake Baptist Church for 47 years and served as a deacon. Gary and his family knew he was blessed with a miracle following the removal of a brain tumor in 2002. He never forgot to give this glory to God. Gary was a graduate of Sam Rayburn High School (1967). He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Houston (1971). He played baseball in high school and college. Gary was proud to be a veteran, serving in the United States Army Reserve from 1972-1977. He was a manufacturer representative for hunting and fishing goods his entire adult career, including 25 years as President of Gary Grant Sales. He was a good and honest salesman, known and respected by all in the industry until his retirement.
