Floris Testoni, 72, of Princeton, Texas—beloved husband, cherished father of three, and loving grandfather of seven—went from this world into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 26, 2026.
Born in the tiny mountain village of Vico, Italy, on March 4, 1953 to Bartolomeo and Adele Testoni, Floris moved to Montreal, Canada, with his parents and younger brother at the age of eight. In adulthood, Floris traveled the world visiting and working in many different countries. He spoke 4 languages fluently and delighted in connecting with people of different cultures.
In his twenties, Floris came to know the Lord Jesus as his Savior. Over the years, he spent increasing time reading His Bible and delighted in researching various theological subjects.
A true Italian, Floris loved espresso, pasta, and tiramisu. In his later years, he developed a green thumb that surprised his loved ones, as he tenderly and skillfully cared for a variety of plants, including bonsai trees and orchids. In fact, he became affectionately known as "Doctor Orchid,” as friends and neighbors would bring him their sickly plants to revive and return to happy owners.
Having worked in construction for many years, Floris was an avid handyman, and his children were convinced he could build anything. They enjoyed the fruit of his labor in the additions he made to their home, as well a delightful playhouse in the backyard.
Floris enjoyed the great outdoors and spent many a hunting trip with his son, as they adventured together and created many special memories. Chess, golf, and world history were among his interests, as well as military airplanes—and of course, a good dad joke.
Floris was an active member at Culleoka Baptist Church in Princeton, Texas, and was eager to serve and help a friend in need. Shortly before his death, he was appointed as a deacon. No doubt he would have been a sincere servant, as he loved and served the people in his church community.
Floris is survived by his wife, Vanessa Testoni; two daughters, Natasha Rowden and her husband, Derek, and Vanessa Corder and her husband, Brad; his son, Chris Testoni and his wife, Ashley; seven grandchildren—Cole, Max, and Seth Rowden, Hudson and Lauren Corder, Emma and Dax Testoni; his brother, Arnaldo Testoni and his wife, Nancy; and nephews, nieces, cousins, and many extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on March 31, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Culleoka Baptist Church in Princeton, Texas. The family will receive visitors at a reception following the service.
