Euna Rue Brady, 100, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born on April 14, 1925, in Amarillo, Texas, she lived a century marked by grace, strength, and an unwavering love for her family and friends.
Euna Rue was the daughter of Marion and Pleda Oldfather and grew up alongside her brothers Dean and Don. Her early years in Amarillo laid the foundation for a life defined by curiosity, resilience, and deep-rooted faith. After completing two years at community college, she later embarked on a successful career in banking and marketing. Remarkably, she began this professional chapter later in life, demonstrating her enduring drive and adaptability.
Her faith played a central role throughout her life. Euna Rue was among the first women Elders at First Presbyterian Church of Richardson, where she found spiritual fulfillment and community. Her leadership within the church reflected both her devotion and her pioneering spirit.
Family was at the heart of everything Euna Rue did. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Lisa Brady Gill and son-in-law John C. Gill. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Steven Brady, as well as her parents and brothers.
Euna Rue’s life was enriched by a wide circle of friends who remained close to her throughout the years. Known for her elegance and authenticity, she had a magnetic presence that drew people to her. Whether playing bridge with friends or sharing stories over tea, she cultivated meaningful connections that endured across decades.
She had a passion for reading and an insatiable curiosity that fueled a love of travel. Her appreciation for beauty was evident in her fondness for turquoise jewelry—a signature touch that reflected both style and spirit.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 3, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church Richardson 271 Walton Street. Reception following in fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church Richardson or the Network of Community Ministries, Richardson.
