Emily Walvoord

Emily Walvoord bravely fought illness on earth, but she is now safe in her Heavenly Father’s arms. She was baptized at Prince of Peace Church in Plano andmade her First Communion at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Rockwall.

Emily will be remembered for her love of animals, especially birds and reptiles. She had a great interest in traveling to other countries. She was interested in protecting the environment and human rights.

Emily excelled in art and writing. She attended Rockwall ISD schools and iSchool Virtual Academy. One of her favorite teachers was Mr. Chris Kelley of Williams Middle School.

As a child, she took acting lessons with Dramakids and took singing lessons at Rockwall School of Music. Emily enjoyed all kinds of music, from classical to jazz to noise rock.

Emily loved the outdoors, especially Tennessee, where she spent several months this past spring. She enjoyed living at a Smoky Mountain Lodge and walking in the woods where she enjoyed seeing black bears, woodpeckers, and mushrooms.

Emily will be missed for her funny stories, her curiosity, and her thoughtfulness.

Emily is survived by her older sister, Annabelle Walvoord, and her parents, Kreg and Chantal Walvoord.
