Elizabeth Ann Winnette

November 18, 1935 — October 23, 2025

Celina, Texas

Elizabeth Ann Harper Winnette was born in Dallas, Texas on November 18, 1935 to Jack Edward Harper and Jessie Elizabeth Seago. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl Winnette Jr., daughter Sheri Elizabeth Stanton, brother Charles Everett Harper, great-granddaughter Kayelynn Elizabeth Gayle Malone, and many beloved pets.

Ann worked at TI and attended night school to obtain her secretarial certificates. She began her career as a legal secretary and went on to become a successful self-made businesswoman. She proudly owned and operated Annsco Business Services in the Dallas World Trade Center, a thriving secretarial company she later sold in the 1980s. She also founded a secretarial training company in the same building, sharing her skills and experience with aspiring professionals. After selling Annsco she worked as a secretary for many companies and retired from JCPenney.

Ann’s passion was always horses. She settled down in Weston, Texas in her dream home, where she spent time with her horses and ran her own equestrian boarding facility. When she wasn’t teaching others to ride horses, she enjoyed showing her prized Quarter and Tennessee Walking horses. She showed her horse Star, and cherished every minute of it.

Ann’s home was always a welcoming place for family, friends, and coworkers especially during the holidays. Laughter, good food, and love were always abundant. In her later years, Ann found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including spending time with family, cooking new recipes, playing cards, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, and playing the piano.

She is survived by her brother, Jack Edward Harper, son Gary David Davenport and his wife Lynda, son Robert Drex Johnson and his wife Rhonda, granddaughters Stacy Chandler and Amber Nicole Rosenberg, and her cats Lucky and Gracie who were her constant companions.
