Eduardo De La Fuente, M.D.Born in Bolivia on December 24, 1931, Sachse resident Dr. Eduardo De La Fuente Guardia departed on December 5, 2017.In a career spanning forty years, Eduardo served as a physician in the Bolivian and United States armies, Bolivian and Brazilian communities; surgical assistant in Chicago; general practitioner and obstetrician in Iowa County, Wisconsin and Collin County, Texas. “Dr. Ed” or “Dr. D”, as patients often called him, proudly proclaimed to have delivered over a thousand babies during his practice.Eleven years widowed, Eduardo rejoins his wife, Elsa, to complete in Heaven their journey begun while at university. He is remembered by son, Juan Eduardo; daughter, Elsa Kathleen; son, Ronald Fernando and his wife, Dora; grandchildren, Dannely, Daniel, and their mother, Damárily; siblings, Eloina, Graciela, and Rene; extended family, friends, colleagues, and patients.His family lovingly thank him for his generosity, encouragement, and lasting advice.
