Dusty Carrell Bailey

Dusty Carroll Bailey,62, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at his home.

Dusty was born May 7, 1964, in Cleveland, Texas, to Connie Peterson Bailey and Darwin "D" Bailey. He accepted Jesus Christ in the summer of 1974.

He attended Silsbee High School in Silsbee, Texas. He received his Mechanical Engineering degree at Texas Tech University in August 1987.

He worked for several IT companies and large corporations with IT departments. He received many awards over his forty two year career and was recognized for outstanding work.

Dusty was a member of the Crossway Church of Christ in Celina, Texas.

He loved the Lord, all his many cousins, and restoring old cars. He will be missed by many friends and family.

Dusty was preceded in death by grandparents Henry and Dorothy Bailey; George Peterson and Willie Lee Peterson; Uncles James Alton Bailey and Glen Bailey.

Dusty is survived by father Darwin Bailey; mother Connie Bailey; uncles Gene Bailey (wife Sue); Dinzell Bailey; and many loved cousins.

There will be a Memorial Service for Dusty at Crossway Church of Christ, 5454 County Road 126, Celina, Texas, Saturday, June 6, 2026. Visitation at 1 PM and Service at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Crossway Building Fund in his memory or to a charity of your choice.

Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in McKinney, Texas, are handling the arrangements.

There will be a graveside service in Cleveland, Texas, on June 13, 2026. Visitation at 2 PM and burial at 3 PM at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Interment at Cleveland Memorial Cemetery.
