Doris Jane Lake

Doris Jane Lake, 87, of Rowlett, TX, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026.

Born on November 23, 1938, in Dallas, Texas, Doris was the beloved daughter of the late Elzie and Lettie Bayless. She graduated from Rockwall High School in 1957.

Doris was employed by the Curtis Mathes Corporation as an Executive Administrative Assistant until she retired in 2006. She loved books and was an avid reader her entire life. She also was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and never missed a game.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Laurie Campbell and son-in-law, David Campbell, sister, Thelma Zachary, grandsons, Michael Campbell and Trevor Campbell, granddaughter, Brenda Scott, nieces Lisa Freeman, Mary Ann Reid, Sharon Jones, and Marsha Isenberg, nephews James Haley, Jackie Haley, Charles Edward Stephenson, Ricky Zachary and Larry Zachary.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Elzie Bayless and Lettie Dotson Bayless, sisters Christine Haley, Lillie Mae Bennett, Neva Zachary, Louise Bayless, and Mary Stephenson, nephews, Johnny Haley, Jimmy Stephenson, and niece, Debbie Stephenson.

Per her wishes, there will be no viewing or service.
