With heavy hearts, we celebrate the beautiful life of Donna Lee Williams-McCauley, who passed away on September 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with numerous health issues. Early in her life in Louisville, Kentucky, she was surrounded by the love of extended family and close-knit friendships. A proud graduate of Valley High School’s Class of 1967, Donna carried the values of family, friendship, and resilience with her throughout her life.
In 1980, Donna made a bold move to Dallas, Texas—a place she would come to call home for the rest of her life. There, she built a life centered around love, laughter, and a deep devotion to those she held dear. Donna was a beloved mother to her daughter, Tiffany Lynn-McLarty, and a cherished mother-in-law to Jeff McLarty. Nothing brought her more joy than being “Granny” to her adored grandchildren, Alaina and Austin McLarty of Wylie, Texas. She played a vibrant and active role in their lives, creating lasting memories and leaving an irreplaceable mark on their hearts.
Donna is also survived by her loving brother, Roger Williams, and his wife, Cheryl; her niece, Renee Williams; and her nephew, Sean Williams—all of Louisville, Kentucky. Though she has departed this world, we take comfort in knowing she has been reunited with those who went before her—her devoted parents, Franklin Lott Williams and Lee Vee Owens, and her beloved husband, Douglas Lee McCauley.
A lifelong animal lover, Donna found joy in caring for her dogs over the years, each one a lucky recipient of her boundless compassion. Her home was always a place of comfort—not just for her pets, but for friends, neighbors, and loved ones who were drawn to her warmth, wit, and vibrant spirit. Donna’s laughter was infectious, her love unconditional, and her presence unforgettable.
To honor her life, a Celebration of Life will be held near her birthday on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Those who wish to attend are encouraged to contact her daughter, Tiffany Lynn-McLarty, for further details.
Donna Lee Williams-McCauley will forever be remembered for her laughter, her kindness, her strength, and the deep love she poured into every relationship. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
