Dennis Tarnell Sirls III passed away unexpectedly in his home on April 26th. He was born on January 9th to parents Dennis Tarnell Sirls Jr and Madison Lay.
Baby Dennis was loved by everyone who had the privilege of meeting him during his short time here on earth. He is described as a loving, smart, and cuddly baby boy. He loved taking walks in his stroller and staring at his reflection in the mirror. He was always a trooper at big family lunches being passed around, often covered in popsicle-stained kisses from his aunt and uncle and many GIRL cousins, and enjoyed time at home with great grandparents, Mama and Kong. Baby Dennis had already found his love for watching television with his father, as they frequently enjoyed an episode of House, and there was talk among his parents that he’d become a doctor one day. His mother describes hearing his heartbeat for the first time as a life-changing moment, and at his birth, she found strength from hearing his first cry after hours of labor and a c-section. She said, "As much as he needed me, I needed him to be my strength, my world, and everything in between."
His short life brought immense joy to the family, and he will be deeply missed. They find comfort in knowing Dennis is now in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Dennis’s memory will forever be cherished by his parents, Dennis Tarnell Sirls Jr and Madison Lay; grandparents, Srun and Shelby Lay, Dennis Tarnell Sirls Sr., and Kimberly Landry; great-grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Victory Church on May 4th at 2 pm.
