In Loving Memory of Deanna Donnell Parker
"Dee"
Deanna Donnell Parker, affectionately known to those who loved her as “Dee”—and, above all, “Mom,” “Grandma,” and “Great-Grandma”—passed away leaving behind a legacy of warmth, sharp humor, quiet creative talent, and deep spiritual devotion.
Dee’s story began in Kansas, where she was adopted into a loving family by her parents, Donald and Vina Parker, and raised on a turkey farm. Her childhood on the farm instilled in her two enduring, lifelong principles: a firsthand knowledge that turkeys are extraordinarily foolish creatures, and an absolute, non-negotiable vow that she would never again live in a home without indoor plumbing.
As a young woman, Dee attended beauty school, developing a keen eye for detail and styling that stayed with her throughout her life. Dee had a vibrant spirit and loved to sing and dance, filling the room with light whenever music played. Her hands were rarely still—she was a master at crochet, crafting intricate and beautiful pieces with incredible skill and care. Nearly everyone who knew her carries a small, cozy token of her handiwork in their home—a lasting reminder of her artistry, patience, and warmth.
Above all, Dee’s faith was a central, guiding force in her life. She possessed a deep, enduring love for Jesus, which she nurtured through a lifetime of thoughtful study. With an open mind and a seeking heart, she explored many spiritual traditions and world religions—always driven by a desire to gain a richer, more profound understanding of Jesus and His teachings. For Dee, faith was an active, beautiful journey of love, questioning, and discovery.
Dee is survived by her loving family who brought her endless pride: her oldest daughter, Andrea, and her husband Eric, along with their children, Madeline, Nolan, Ethan, and Lily; her youngest daughter, Candice Webb, along with her children, Donovan (father to Dee's cherished great-grandson, Draven), Caemen, and Kaia; and her niece, Dixie Funk of Ogden, Utah. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her daughters, her seven grandchildren, her great-grandson Draven, her niece, and all who were lucky enough to know her.
She was preceded in death by her loving adoptive parents, Donald and Vina Parker, and her brother, Clarence Gray.
